At Jamón Company we strive to get our products over to you as quickly as possible. Here is some handy information that will help have you tasting that mouthwatering ham in no time at all

Delivery costs

We are pleased to offer free next-day delivery for all UK mainland orders above £50. This covers England, Wales and Scotland, but excludes Highlands, Northern Ireland and all islands.

For orders below £50 the following charges apply:

Unfortunately we are not currently able to take orders for the Channel Islands, Ireland and other international destinations.

When we ship your order

We ship orders Monday to Thursday to avoid your food sitting at our couriers’ warehouse over the weekend. All orders received by 1pm will be dispatched on the same day.

The same evening you will receive an email confirming your order has been dispatched and an estimated delivery date.

Will my ham really arrive next-day?

Most of the time your order will be with you on the estimated delivery date. However it is not a guaranteed service and on the odd occasion it may take our courier longer due to adverse weather or other eventualities.

Whole legs of ham hang in optimal maturation conditions at our suppliers’ cellars in Salamanca until your order comes in. That’s why it takes longer for them to get to you – up to two weeks. It also means they will get to you in optimal conditions, the way jamón should be.  If there are more products in your order we’ll let you know when your ham is in the UK and ship the whole order together. Please contact us if you would like to get the rest of your order earlier

But doesn’t my ham need refrigeration?

Products that need to be kept in fridge are packed with isolating polystyrene and ice packs to maintain the temperature until they get to you. Ham and mature cheese are cured products and it is fine for them to be sent this way. However we strongly recommend planning your order so that you can put them in the fridge as soon as practicable - that is if you can avoid the temptation of a cheeky taste straight as you see that luscious ham comes out from the box!

Do I need to be there when the delivery arrives?

Yes, unless you indicate otherwise when you register your address our courier needs a signature from someone over 18. However if for some reason you are unable to be at home our courier will leave a ‘sorry we missed you’ card  with instructions on how to arrange an alternate delivery date. You can also arrange to collect your package from your local site or leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour.

Can you provide an approximate delivery time?

Your delivery will be made during normal working hours. Due to the large number of deliveries made each day by our courier it is not possible for us to provide you with a delivery time.

Can my parcel be delivered to another address?

Of course! Why not have your order sent to the office if at all possible. Our parcels for small orders are reasonably sized and not too hard to carry, plus it’ll save you the hassle of rearranging delivery.

Can you leave my parcel without a signature?

You can provide this instruction in the ‘Delivery box’ when you register your address, and our courier will leave your deliver accordingly. Unfortunately if you instruct us to deliver this way we are unable to take responsibility for anything that may happen to the package while it is unattended

Can you deliver to my neighbour/leave in a safe place?

You can provide this instruction in the ‘Delivery box’ when you register your address , and our courier will deal with your delivery accordingly. Unfortunately if you instruct us to deliver this way we are unable to take responsibility for anything that may happen to the package while it is unattended

I’m here and the ham is not!

If anything doesn’t go according to plan best first point of call is UK Mail on www.ukmail.com or 08451 552 552, please have your tracking number at hand when you contact them. Otherwise don’t worry, we will always go out of our way to put things right. Contact us (customers@jamoncompany.co.uk) and we’ll take it from there.

Gifting

Our deliveries do not include price information so it’s fine to send them to a friend as a gift. In fact they’ll probably find them more than a fine gift! Simply include a personalised message at checkout and share the joy of good ham – why not also refer them for you both to enjoy a discount first time they place an order.
